Career paths at BKD are divided into levels, and each position is defined by its own set of duties, responsibilities and competencies requiring cumulative and advanced degrees of education, training and experience. Personnel also must demonstrate their leadership abilities as coaches and mentors, as well as active community members. Individuals become candidates for promotion after successfully mastering their existing level.
“Rebecca is a valuable member of our state and local tax (SALT) team,” Wagner said. “She has broad skills in the SALT area with deep expertise in the employment credit arena.”
Burrell is the Work Opportunity Tax Credit (WOTC) coordinator, overseeing and managing the process to obtain employee certifications for WOTC and working closely with clients to take advantage of this federal credit.
She is a graduate of Indiana Wesleyan University, Marion, with a B.S. degree in accounting and an associate’s degree in computer information systems.
