Epstein Lipsey & Clifford Law Firm Help Breast Cancer Charity Win National Competition

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 27, 2012 - Breast cancer nonprofit Ellie Fund has been declared the winner in “Twive & Receive” , a national one-day Twitter-based fundraising contest. The law firm of Epstein, Lipsey and Clifford, P.C. spearheaded the effort and together with dedicated local volunteers, companies, and “Twitterati” raised $53,089 in the twenty four hour period that made the non-profit organization the first place winner of $15,000 in prize money from Razoo.com, the host of the contest.  The Ellie Fund will use 100% of the funds raised to provide critical support services free of charge for local families who are struggling with breast cancer treatment. Epstein, Lipsey & Clifford, P.C. (www.elclaw.com) led the fundraising charge in a unique way. The firm hosted a free party in Hanover to lead the Twive and Receive charge and help the Ellie Fund win the contest. The evening included raffles and prizes and laptops were set up for everyone to make a donation to the Ellie Fund online through Razoo.com at the event.  The firm will continue their support by sponsoring a team including Epstein, Lipsey & Clifford partner Scott Clifford, his colleagues, friends and family. Clifford founded the “Real Men Wear Pink” team three years ago to compete in the Sharon Sprint Triathlon.  Last year they raised more than $12,500 for the Ellie Fund. This year they’ve set an ambitious goal to raise $25,000.  

“The Ellie Fund’s mission of fighting breast cancer and providing for the immediate needs of families is near and dear to so many of our hearts,” says Clifford. He adds, “With an increasing demand for services, the Ellie Fund’s resources are stretched thin. We are thrilled that they won the first place prize because we know that the money goes straight out into our community to provide critical support to local families who are struggling with breast cancer.”
