Despite adverse weather conditions and the more general slow-down that has occurred within the construction sector this year, Mixamate have experienced steady orders and modest growth in 2012. This has partly been due to the company’s innovative new Screed Pumping Truck, but is also down as Mixamate Managing Director, Chris Smith points out, to a buoyant London Construction sector that is not solely focussed around Olympic Projects.

“People hear that you are starting a new service dedicated to London Concrete and automatically assume it is Olympics related,” said Chris. “However, it is worth remembering that the Capital provided a thriving construction industry before the regeneration projects surrounding the 2012 Olympics and will continue to do so long after they are gone. We have found in similar vein probably to the property market, that while there may have been a slight drop off in projects going on outside the M25 over the past couple of years, projects undertaken within the Capital continue to boom in these difficult economic conditions.”
