Embrace announces its official standing as a student organization at San Diego State University

Embrace SDSU student organization represents both undergraduate and graduate students

June 26, 2012 - PRLog -- San Diego, Calif., (June 18, 2012) - Embrace, a nonprofit organization that mobilizes college students to address San Diego community needs, announced its recent recognition, by San Diego State University, as a student organization, shortly after applying earlier this year.

The Embrace SDSU student organization consists of officers that represent both undergraduate and graduate students.

Out of the 270 student organizations at SDSU, there are very few student organizations at the University that represent parent nonprofits.

“Establishing ourselves as an official student organization on campus is especially exciting for us because it allows us to share our excitement about serving the community with our fellow students, provide opportunities for more students to get involved in service, as well as inform our peers about pressing social issues facing our community,” said Lindsey Bittman, President of the Embrace SDSU Student Organization.  “We are passionate about Embrace and what Embrace does for our community and are very excited to share that passion with the students of SDSU.”

Currently working on multiple projects, Embrace plans to continue its current effort of serving displaced Filipinos in Manila. The organization is also planning its next H3 home restoration effort; with a target date of late July.  Potential future student organizations include launching Embrace USD, Embrace UCSD and Embrace USC student organizations.
