Makers of Gluten-Free Products Build Upon High Consumer Demand
Denver (June 26, 2012)—Denver-
“With the tremendous support of both conventional and natural retailers in the Rocky Mountain region, we have established a solid foundation for national expansion that will be fueled by this seed capital,” QRUNCH CEO Jim Adams said. “We will soon fully automate our production process, expand our broker network and introduce a number of new innovative, gluten-free products to drive growth.”
The company’s signature product, QRUNCH Burgers, are made from the superfood quinoa and are free of virtually all common food allergens, including gluten, dairy, soy, corn, wheat, egg, and nuts. QRUNCH Burgers are currently available in natural and conventional chains such as Whole Foods, Natural Grocer, King Soopers and most recently, New York state-based Wegmans, which Consumer Reports Magazine recently named the country’s number one grocer. In addition, QRUNCH Burgers are available at over 250 independent retailers nationwide.
QRUNCH Foods’ second round of fundraising has already begun. The company is seeking to raise an additional $1.2M in capital to hire key personnel and to initiate an aggressive marketing program. The company has already closed several investors in this second round, which Adams attributes to increased brand recognition and accelerating interest in gluten-free foods.
QRUNCH Foods has a simple mission: to create great tasting gluten-free foods. Its flagship product, QRUNCH Burgers, are available in two- and four-pack boxes and are located in the frozen “natural foods” aisle. The burgers are already cooked and simply need to be reheated.
