Crespac has invested heavily in a number of recycling process capabilities including grinding, shredding, sifting, batch-blending and washing to repurpose a number of common resins. However, the focal point of Crespac’s recycling efforts will be on recovering the two most commonly recycled plastics in the world – PET (#1) and HDPE (#2).
Crespac’s head of manufacturing, Maurice Moon, projects throughput of over 6 million lbs of materials in 2012 with the capacity going over 10 million lbs next year as the horticultural container exchange program is expanded to a greater number of customers around the southeastern US.
