The medical mission was organized by Dr. Vicki Anton Athens and Dr. James Hill of Athens Podiatry Group, a medical practice that has been serving Michigan residents for more than 25 years. The surgeries included procedures for club foot, amputation and ankle fracture. Athens Podiatry Group was joined by Rotary International District 6400 of Michigan, which initiated the program, in this mission.
A special partner this year was 20/20 Imaging Company, which provides digital imaging solutions for podiatrists and specializes in current digital technology. 20/20’
“20/20 Imaging was pleased to participate in this important goodwill mission,” said Melanie Murdock, Regional Sales Manager for 20/20 Imaging. “Our business is to help doctors treat their patients with the best x-ray technology available – so that they can focus on taking care of people. We’re happy that our technology contributed to so many successful surgeries.”

Founded in 1986, Athens Podiatry Group delivers diagnosis and treatment in foot and ankle care to patients in southeast Michigan. The practice has four doctors who treat patients in two locations and have privileges in local hospitals.
