Southeastern Fertility Center assists patients that struggle with infertility.. The center achieved the first In-vitro fertilization (IVF), Gamete Intrafallopian Transfer (GIFT) and Zygote Intrafallopian Transfer (ZIFT) pregnancies in South Carolina and have also introduced blastocyst embryo transfer, frozen embryo transfers, intracytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI), pre-implantation genetic diagnosis and most recently oocyte cryopreservation.
Dr. Patton is the Founder and Director of Southeastern Fertility Center and is responsible for South Carolina's first IVF pregnancy in 1984. Dr. Patton has completed an extended residency and fellowship at the Harvard Teaching Program and is widely recognized as one of the country's leaders in reproductive surgery. He is board certified in Obstetrics and Gynecology and has built the Southeastern Fertility Center into South Carolina's leading ART program.
Dr. Stephanie Singleton is board certified in both reproductive endocrinology and infertility and in obstetrics and gynecology. She is a fellow of the American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists. Dr. Singleton conducted research in the area of male factor infertility and uterine cavity evaluation. She was awarded The Endocrine Fellows Foundation Research Grant for her pursuit of research in male factor infertility and her research was published in peer review medical journals to include Human Reproduction and Reproduction, Fertility and Development.
Dr. Lawrence Odom, a Georgia native, attended the Medical College of Georgia and completed a residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Memorial Medical Center in Savannah in 1978. Dr. Odom has a special interest in pregnancy loss prevention and autonomic nervous system dysregulation and reproductive disorders.
