Jotto Desk Introduces NEW High Security / High Visibility Vehicle Partition Window

June 25, 2012 - PRLog -- Rogers, AR – June 25, 2012 - Jotto Desk changed the way partitions were designed with our release of the patent pending Space Creator partition line in 2011. Since its release, hundreds of agencies have realized the tremendous benefit offered by the Space Creator partitions – giving the most room for the driver while still allowing room for a prisoner. They have invested in the most significant improvement in partitions and have made the Space Creator partition the only partition they will accept.

Not content with the improvement to the partition, Jotto Desk set out to take it to the next level. Our research led us to focus on two needs. One - improve visibility and Two – provide easy/consistent cleanability. We queried Fleet Managers, State Troopers, Deputies and Officers as to their problems – the number one complaint was lack of visibility as a driver.  Brackets/Slats/Frames/Mesh/etc were reducing what they saw in their rear view mirror.  Prisoners routinely leave a mixture of spit, sweat, blood and more on the window…that when combined with “expanded metal” – make the rear view mirror a waste of time.


The NEW High Security/High Visibility (HS/HV) Window gives officers the  best of both worlds – tremendous sight lines, whether looking out the rearview mirror or turning around and the 4”H x 11”W window allows for communication/passing information but there won’t be anyone that will squeeze through this opening.  The HS/HV window increases the visible area by a whopping 41% vs. older style windows. When someone sits in the drivers seat and looks through the rearview mirror for the first time, the natural reaction is to turn and look to see if a partition is installed…because the view is so clear.

If a prisoner spits / bleeds / smears the window – it can still be easily cleaned…not so with those using the “expanded metal”, as the poly window is on the opposite of the metal. For those agencies that want a more traditional look – we have designed the Full Window w/Safety Wire. This opening is 11”H x 11”W and has a Safety Wire covering over that opening. This Safety Wire barrier can be removed for “cleaning purposes” without completely disassembling the partition window while providing the larger, more traditional look/size.


The New window designs are now available exclusively in Jotto Desk partitions for the Ford PI Sedan and PI Utility. Over time, we will be transitioning from our traditional window designs to the New HS/HV and Full Window w/Safety Wire for the other vehicles we support (Tahoe, Impala, Caprice, Charger, F-Series, Expedition).
