The portal for Hyderabad offers users a plethora of navigation options. Visitors can now find, with ease, all the information about Hyderabad they are looking for – business listings (yellow pages), Hyderabad classifieds, events, deals, movie listings, movie reviews, and news in Hyderabad / Andhra Pradesh.
In other cities, the website is called localtiger.com, and offers information that includes tourism guides, local event listings and yellow pages.
One of the features of the newly-launched product is an enhanced ratings system that allows users to rate any event, location or movie, and write their own reviews on listings for Hyderabad.
“The power of the user cannot be undermined. The future is in user-generated content – reviews, ratings, recommendations. Indians are getting more and more net-savvy, and are, in general, more talkative online. When they find a business, an event or a sale they love, they're willing to recommend it to everyone they know. Similarly, when they're dissatisfied with an experience, nothing stops them from posting it online on multiple forums. Hence, we decided to modify our product in such a way that not only is a listing easy to locate on the web, users can also express their opinions on it more easily,” a company spokesperson said.
fullhyderabad.com has always had sections pertaining to community. The Community section on the site includes networking forum, discussion forums and blogs. The Personals, fullhyd's social networking tool, section has a new design now, with the website targeting the youth of Hyderabad.
But what's new is a renewed emphasis on sharing. A brand new Shoutbox present on every page allows visitors to post messages on a real-time basis. Moreover, an Image Gallery on the home page lets users upload pictures of their choice.
“We also encourage Hyderabadis to share interesting things they see in the city, or unusual news – the image gallery is just a step ahead in the direction of user-generated news,” the spokesperson added.
Advertisers have more options on fullhyd.com's latest version. The new site not only has wider banners for sponsors, but also allows for a higher visibility for advertisers choosing to purchase text links.
