ABOUT EDDIES BROTHER:
People used to tell Eddie's Brother that he would get the recognition he deserved- the problem was they all tended this would happen after he died!
It isn't as if he hasn't made a name for himself, established as the spectacle wearing artist with no formal music training. A pocket biography will tell you of his dislocated childhood growing up in care, the son of an errant jazz violinist. There's always been a sense that Eddie's Brother (Born Chris French, yes he does have a brother called Eddie) relishes his outsider status.
A core of affectingly honest material, highly humble, delivered with a minimum of pretension. A 'twisty turny' thing. Songs that have regret and bitterness, with just enough hope and forgiveness. Each one is a story of lost (lost trust, lost youth) and of discovery, both good and bad. Hopefully they will affect your emotions, and welcome you to his passively aggressive self-expression.
Gigging extensively at acoustic and band venues in London, Cambridge and Home countie, Eddies Brother has built up a solid reputation as an engaging stage performer. Eddies Brother has appeared at festivals 'The Secret Garden','Rhythms of the World', 'The Troubadour', 'Strawberry Fair' and 'The Living Room'. A recent song 'maggots to flies' featured in a movie called 'Gagalash a gift to the fans'
