One of Singapore’s best sources of cult and one-off luxe accessories, online shopping website Doorstep Luxury has collaborated with The Cambridge Satchel Company to create these fab new bags.
The completely leather bags come in Gold and Grey (pictured left) glitter – although it’s really very dark, more a steel grey or black – and in two sizes, the 11-inch and the 13-inch.
Although they look exactly like the usual Cambridge satchel, the addition of glitter makes these bags the perfect day to evening sling bag – even better, you can tuck the strap in and use it as a structured clutch.
I have to confess that I grabbed one of the very first samples of the 11-inch in Grey when it first arrived in Singapore, and I love it. I used it as a day bag while travelling and just the other night as a clutch for a posh fashion event.
You can fit your smartphone, wallet, keys and sunnies as well as other bits and pieces like maps and name cards all inside, even if you fold in the strap; this is a really useful little bag.
Doorstep Luxury is also releasing limited edition Baby Blue Satchels from The Cambridge Satchel Company in May, 2012. These are absolutely perfect for the current pastel trend ruling the Spring Summer 2012 season.
