Aging Parents take Active part in GARDENING

With lots of time on hand, boomers are finally free to explore the many things that they had forgotten while raising families and children.

Gardening is a soul enriching experience. The joy to bring up a young sapling is tremendous.  It is just like bringing up your own child. To see a plant grow into a beautiful tree is just out of the world.  Probably because of this reason, many boomers enjoy this hobby. Gardening includes a lot more than just planting seeds. There are numerous activities that are associated with this hobby. From sowing seeds, watering the sapling to tilling the soil, gardening involves quite a lot of hard work. I would recommend all boomers to engage themselves in this beautiful hobby simply because it is an excellent way to feel good and also contributes to good health and fitness. For the heavy weight champion boomers, gardening can be their mantra to reduce some weight and lift their moods. Tiling the soil toughens your arm muscles and the constant movement of hands and body helps  in weight loss.

Leaving aside the fitness part, gardening enables you to socialize with others who have the same interests.  There are many clubs dedicated to this hobby, wherein boomers can spend some quality time with others of the same age.  For the more enterprising boomers, gardening can also be an added income generator.

There is a lot of demand for fresh organic fruits and veggies in the global market. Boomers need money and there can be no other way better than producing fresh produce and selling it in local markets. When the whole world is swearing by organic foods, boomers have the right opportunity to make some extra cash by gardening.

Flowers are also in great demand. I have quite a few acquaintances that are boomers and are earning pretty good with selling flowers, online. Isn’t it interesting? I would suggest all boomers to give this hobby a chance. Not only will it relax your nerves but will garner you some good mullah, which is a necessity for all of us. Isn’t it?
