Wilcox presented “Authorpreneur: Every Author Is Also an Entrepreneur” geared to other authors and aspiring writers, at PublishAmerica's fourth Authors Convention this year.
When asked why she selected this topic, Wilcox said, “Authors must learn to treat their book like a small business.” In the final chapter of her new book, Startup Savvy: Strategies for Optimizing Small Business Survival and Success, she has developed a series of tactics specifically designed to increase small business survival rates. She says these same tactics can also work for authors. Following the event, PublishAmerica CEO Willem Meiners said, "We didn't know how good author Aundrea Wilcox (Startup Savvy) or John Lewis Solomon (Oney the Eagle) were until they took the mike. Both are now convention fixtures." Aundrea Y.
