Uptown’s iPad Wine List Elevates Perfection of Service

Naples, FL and Orlando, FL, June 21, 2012 – Uptown Network today announced that Norman’s located in the Ritz-Carlton Orlando has joined the Uptown Network.  World renown for impeccable service and flawless culinary preparations, Norman’s is using iPad Wine Lists to further enhance the dining experience.  Guests can seamlessly find wines and engage with the team of expert sommeliers in a way not possible with paper menus and wine lists.
“As a sommelier, the benefits became obvious,” explained Yusuf Yildiz, Wine Director and Sommelier at Norman’s.  “I have a passion for teaching and training and the Uptown Network iPad Wine List delivers great value in both areas.”  Yildiz added that the iPads allow him to engage with guests on a deeper level while at the same time acting as a training tool for staff members.
Opened at the Ritz-Carlton in Orlando, FL, Norman’s quickly took top honors as one of the country’s best restaurants.  The New York Times has called Norman Van Aken Florida’s most gifted chef.  Nation’s Restaurant News has placed Norman’s in the Fine Dining Hall of Fame.  The flexibility of the Uptown Network enables the showcasing of several of Chef Van Aken’s award-winning cookbooks.  The app helps make them accessible on a global basis.  In addition to being offered in the restaurant, the app can be downloaded for free by anyone with an iPad via the Apple App Store.
