Begin by taking a detailed look at other top SEO consultant companies and see what kind of services they offer. Most of them offer PPC, SEO, and website design to be general. But, they also do more specific tasks, such as business reputation management. If you do not know how to rank websites your self then you better learn before consulting businesses on how to rank their websites.

Learn how to talk to businesses and always stay positive no matter if it goes bad.
Learn to actually do the services your offer your potential clients. This is one thing new consultants fail to do, they just say fancy words but never deliver.
Businesses do not like going to the big companies because they do not offer "exclusive" attention to all their clients. But, that is why if you stay local in the beginning and perfect your SEO consulting art, you will be paid handsomely.

This is a booming industry, if you do not believe me then, you most likely are not in the industry itself. When people realize the skills i have they are amazed, so i make my prices high all the time. Why? Because we have "rare" skills and now is the time to charge as much as we want!

Example being, my smallest package runs about $250 a month. The work-load is not that much, but to the normal eye it would seem daunting task indeed.

Never sell yourself short, because when facts comes to fact, we have strong skills that most people do not even know about. So charge high whilst you can!
