Follow on Google News | Stardust Arts Dr. Wilderness Show Awarded City of Encinitas and Mizel Family Foundation GrantFewer grants were given last year and on June 20, 2012 the Encinitas City Council allocated $150,000 to 43 non-profit organizations. The Stardust Arts/Dr. Wilderness Show as amongst the 90% awarded a record high in funding.

A goal of the City Council was to provide seed money for new programs in the community. “The Stardust Arts is excited to bring the “Angels Program” to Encinitas – a visual art program that provides the development of creativity and imagination in art to the youth of the Encinitas Boys and Girls Clubs of San Dieguito. “Thanks to the grant program and the vision of city leaders, for this gift to the community. We are looking forward to another exciting year of adventure and reaching for the stars”, said Cheryl Ehlers, Stardust Arts, Art Director/Instructor. “Last year brought a first time art exhibition, entries in the Arts Alive Banner project and special requests for additional community exhibitions of the youth art. It was a great experience for everyone”!
