The Salt + Light App is available through the Apple App Store and provides access to a wide range of content – much of it original Salt + Light productions as well as direct links and feeds to other popular Salt + Light media. Features include daily readings, TV live stream, saints of the day, S+L Radio, current affairs programs, reflections, high-level interview series, updates on World Youth Day, prayers, social media sharing and more.
“We exist to spread the message of Christ and the teachings of the Church to the world, through media,” said Father Thomas Rosica, CSB, founding CEO of Salt and Light Catholic Media Foundation. “The app is sure to enrich the lives of English-speaking men and women through easy-to-consult prayer, reflections, news and video.”
The app is the result of a successful partnership between Salt + Light, local volunteers and a private Indonesian university.
“In many ways this launch reflects the history of Salt + Light,” said Joshua Lanzarini, manager of digital marketing at Salt + Light. “Opportunities come out of left field, when we least expect them, and allow us to progress in our work. We are grateful for the Canadian and Indonesian volunteers who were wholly committed to helping Salt + Light. We really could not have planned this any better.”
