HVDH SA Picked by Reinhausen Group

June 22, 2012 - PRLog -- Johannesburg power engineering company, Reinhausen, recently selected Hans von der Heyde South Africa to process their order for aluminium profiling structures.

Reinhausen intend for the structures to be used in a training scenario regarding the maintenance of electrical tap changing devices to be used in heavy current electrical transformers.

The aluminium profiles needed to not only meet the mark in terms of appearance and feel, but also in safety and performance.

HVDH were required to do extensive design work to complete this order, and the final submission had to meet the highest standards of price and performance in order to complete with competitor submissions from both Europe and South America.

What the Project Involved:

-   Designing and fabricating a raised aluminium profile structure using ALKOR materials
-   The manufacturing of fittings and fixtures that would form and hold the structure together
-   Installing the electrical switchgear and power cabling into various demonstration units which were to be used, eventually, on the periphery platform
-   Finally, moving and rigging the structure from its place of design and construction to Reinhausen’s premises, the agreed final position

With the order complete, a second order from Reinhausen is expected shortly.
