Novelist, Julia Green, will announce the winners of this year’s King Edward’s Senior School Short Story Competition during Assembly in the Sports Hall on Tuesday 26th March at 9.10am.
Julia Green launched the Short Story Competition in the Spring Term and kindly agreed to judge the entries and announce the winners.
As Course Director for the MA in Writing for Young People at Bath Spa University, and published novelist of six novels for teenagers and six stories for younger children, Julia Green has a great deal of experience in writing for this age group.
Julia also ran a workshop during a lunch time Creative Writing Society to offer her advice to pupils on writing.
The theme for this year’s Short Story Competition was light and dark. Pupils were asked to write a story of no longer than 1,500 words.
There were two age group categories; Years 7 – 9 and Years 10 – 13
