Nucor Corporation, America's premier steelmaker, automates AP with Astra’s FastAP for IFS

PRLog (Press Release) - Jul. 5, 2012 - The company has purchased all three components of FastAP for IFS^tm:  ReadSoft’s INVOICES, IFS’ Supplier Invoice Workflow and Astra’s APConnect^{for IFS} to integrate the flow of data and images between INVOICES and the IFS AP module.  Nucor’s Nebraska facility will be the first site to use FastAP.  Nucor and Astra are targeting a go-live date in the third quarter of 2012.  

Tommy Massey, manager of Nucor’s core AP automation selection team, who was instrumental in choosing FastAP said, “We wanted a robust AP automation solution that could handle our high invoice volume and was designed for IFS ERP.  Astra provided that solution and was the logical choice to manage the implementation.  We are expecting significant reductions in our processing cost and cycle time.”
