June 21, 2012 - PRLog -- Advertising. One of the hardest professions to break into. For one man though, he's taking a new approach to the idea of advertising itself.

Aubrey Hankins, 28, had an idea and is running away with it. Aubrey created WorldRecordAdvertising.com, a unique advertising website aimed at breaking the world record for the largest advertisement on a building. Currently held by Chinese newspaper giant The Financial Times, Aubrey wants to bring the record to his future home, Manhattan.

World Record Advertising will sell 50 x 50 pixel ad blocks on its homepage, in the amount of $150. Advertisers can upload an image or logo from their business or website. From there, WorldRecordAdvertising.com will use the advertisers images as a template in attempting to create the record setting billboard.

It's a simple idea, with an enormous outcome if it works. The website was only launched this week, but with everyone wanting to promote themselves, their business, or website, it seems like the idea may take off. While this isn't the first time that someone has used a website to sell ad space, the idea is usually aimed at generating revenue for the authors means. WorldRecordAdvertising.com though, may have found its niche, and may also bring a world record to New York.
