Endorsements & Support from Voters Continue to Mount for Congressional Candidate Byron Donalds

June 21, 2012 - PRLog -- Naples, Florida - Conservative Republican and political grassroots leader Byron Donalds continues to collect endorsements as the people’s choice for the highly contested District 19 congressional seat. The Cape Coral Daily Breeze declared him the “Tea Party favorite” and an online News-Press poll shows Donalds is leading the other candidates in votes demonstrating he is favored among Southwest Florida voters.

Donalds was recently awarded the Liberty Takeover 2012 endorsement due to his extensive experience in managing debt and his commitment to limited constitutionally-based government. The endorsement was announced June 11 in the Tampa Bay Libertarian Examiner.

Donalds has a healthy lead in an online News-Press poll asking citizens which Republican they support for the congressional seat, with 1,596 of the 5,771 total votes cast as of June 20. That gives Donalds a more than 50 percent lead over his two closest competitors, and double the vote count of the other three. On June 11 an article published in The Cape Coral Daily Breeze declared Donalds the Tea Party favorite in an election roundup highlighting the candidates.

“Voters are taking a more active role in politcs and seem more knowledgeable on local, state and national issues,” says Donalds.  “Rather than the usual political rhetoric, I try to offer sound solutions, and voters are responding with overwhelming support building momentum in our campaign,” adds Donalds, who shares that his conservative principles come from in-depth economic research and a thorough understanding of history. “I am humbled by the excitement people have shown for my clear message of individual liberty and limited constitutional government.”

Donald’s website, Twitter and Facebook pages post multiple daily endorsements from individual voters and community activists, such as this one from former state prosecutor and Fort Myers attorney David Shestokas: “We have a rare opportunity to send a citizen statesman to Congress rather than a celebrity or a political insider who believes that it’s ‘his turn.’ Byron Donalds is the only candidate who truly understands and believes that the Constitution’s limitations on the federal government are the basis of our freedom and prosperity.”

And Jack Tymann, former president of Westinghouse, said, “In 35 years as a political activist, I have never encountered a candidate with so much promise. Byron Donalds combines the intellect, integrity, deeply rooted principles, depth of knowledge, and presence needed to make a profound difference while serving our nation.”
