Enrollment is open for general applicants as well.
“Ascend will give children an opportunity to learn something about every aspect of being an entertainer, from music theory to lyric writing, photography and live performing,”
“This program is hands-on and practical, and with the lack of comprehensive music programs in many schools, it will support the overall talents of DMV’s young artists,” said Ascend Academy President Natasha Brown, founder of Think Brown INK communications agency.
Youth selected in the program will work hand-in-hand with experienced performers, nationally recognized artists and DJs and some of the best producers, writers and photographers in the Washington metropolitan region.
