June 21, 2012 - PRLog -- The new Student Grant Application System for the coming academic year, which was announced earlier this year, requires all applications to be made online.

According to Seamus Halpin, Finance Section, Clare County Council: “It is important that students and parents know that there is now a single awarding authority established called Student Universal Support Ireland (SUSI) which has been set up to process all new grant applications.”

“Clare County Council continues to assess grant applications to existing undergraduate and post graduate grant holders who are progressing to the next year of the same course. If parents or students have any queries in relation to the application process or the student grant scheme they should contact the "SUSI Support Desk" by  telephone at 0761 08 7874 or email support@susi.cdvec.ie.,” Mr. Halpin added.

Grants awarded under the Student Grant Scheme are reviewed annually. The closing date for receipt of online applications is 31st August, 2012.
