Phu My 3 BOT Power Company Ltd invests in AVEVA Enterprise solution

Ba Ria-Vung Tau, Vietnam – 21 June 2012: AVEVA (LSE:AVV), announced today that Phu My 3 BOT Company Limited (PM3) has successfully implemented AVEVA NET for the Phu My 3 Power Plant Project in Vietnam. PM3 required an information management tool to enhance the visibility and accuracy of the production, construction and maintenance information within its plant.  AVEVA NET met all business and technical objectives, saving time, money and enabling the immediate access to crucial project information.

About PHU MY 3 BOT POWER CO. LTD.
Phu My 3 BOT Power Co. Ltd. is the first foreign-invested BOT (Built-Operate-Transfer) Power Project in Vietnam. The US$ 450 million power plant, equally invested by BP Holdings B.V. (Netherlands), Sembcorp Utilities Corp. (Singapore), Kyushu Electrics Corp. and Sojitz Corp. (Japan) uses combined cycle gas turbine technology with designed capacity of 716.8 MW. The capacity was upgraded to 749 MW after the gas turbine upgrade in 2009. Phu My 3 is part of the Phu My power complex which is able to produce roughly 40 % of the maximum electricity demand in Vietnam. The complex is constituted of 5 combined cycle plants burning natural gas. Phu My 3 Power Plant is constructed by Siemens AG (Germany) and fueled by Nam Con Son Gas Pipelines, an affiliate of BP Vietnam. Since its commercial operation in Jan 2004, Phu My 3 Power Plant has supplied about 6% of the whole nationwide power generation in Vietnam under the Power Purchase Agreement with Vietnam Electricity Corp. (EVN).
