Brookfield Residential Makes Way for New Homes, Plus 11.5-Acre Sports Park at Spencer's Crossing

The master-planned community will debut its fifth neighborhood, Iris, on June 30, and a new sports park this fall.

PRLog - Jun. 20, 2012 - Brookfield Residential, known for its amenity-rich and family-oriented master-planned communities throughout Southern California, makes no exception at one of its newest master plans, Spencer’s Crossing. On June 30, the Murrieta based master-planned community will celebrate the model grand opening of its fifth neighborhood, Iris by D.R. Horton. Also nearing completion at Spencer’s Crossing is the highly anticipated 11.5-acre Sports Park, set to open to the public this fall.
“Having welcomed several hundred families to Spencer’s Crossing already, we understand the importance of building a community that’s active, growing and family-oriented,” says Carina Hathaway, Vice President of Marketing for Brookfield Residential Properties, the developer of Spencer’s Crossing. “We’ve worked hard to make Spencer’s Crossing -- a community adorned with new recreational amenities, beautiful streets and gorgeous new residences – a place people love to call home.”
Iris, Spencer’s Crossing’s newest community, will add flair to the already flavorful selection of new homes at the master plan. Iris by D.R. Horton will offer four floor plans, two of which will be single story. The homes will range from approximately 2,351 to 3,114 square feet with three to five bedrooms, up to four baths, and three-car garages. Architectural styles will include Spanish, Tuscan and Craftsman, all complementary of the scenic and natural surroundings at Spencer’s Crossing. Homes at Iris at Spencer’s Crossing will be priced from the high $200,000s.
Also contributing to a surge in activity at Spencer’s Crossing is a new sports park, set to open this October. Currently under way, the sports park will include two baseball fields, a soccer field, basketball court, children's play area and a concession stand. This recreational focal point will be a nice addition to the existing paseos and meandering walking trails at Spencer’s Crossing. It will also provide a place for community programming, family gathering and sporting events – lending to both active, healthy lifestyles and a greater sense of community inclusiveness.
“With two major milestones this year -- a new neighborhood and vast sports park -- there’s so much for Spencer’s Crossing residents and future homebuyers to look forward to,” added Hathaway.
