Akadema Endorser Brandon McCarthy Pitches 7 Scoreless Innings

PRLog (Press Release) - Jun. 20, 2012 - Hawthorne, NJ – June 20, 2012 – Akadema endorser Branson McCarthy improved his season record to 6-3 on Tuesday, June 19th against the Los Angeles Dodgers.  McCarthy, 28, didn’t start for 11 days, because of an arm injury that has plagued him this year.  The Athletics beat the Dodgers 3-0, with McCarthy only allowing 2 hits, and 1 walk during the game.  McCarthy extended his winning streak to 6 games, with an ERA of 1.96 in that span.  On the season, McCarthy’s ERA is 2.54 in 12 games, with 78 innings pitched, and 52 strikeouts.  In a win on May 12th against the Detroit Tigers, McCarthy struck out 10, while pitching 7 innings with no runs allowed, and only 4 hits.  In 2011 McCarthy had his best season, going 9-9, with a 3.32 ERA in 25 starts.  McCarthy uses a 12-inch, B-Hive Web, AMO 102 Shell, and is part of Akadema’s endorsement team.
