Summer intern assists MBS’ Financial Team

June 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Colorado Springs, Colo., June 20, 2011   Managed Business Solutions (MBS), a Native 8(a) owned company, and premier provider of information technology based business solutions, is pleased to welcome Chantil Dukart, our MBS summer intern.  She has completed her junior year at University of Miami, FL and is pursuing a Bachelor of Arts degree in music.

Chantil will be assisting G&A/finance and contracts to update our contract database documentation and will be assisting finance on data migration as we move our financial system from Oracle to Deltek CostPoint.

Chantil’s grandmother the late Anna Benson Barnes, was a Sealaska, Eyak and Chugach shareholder. She was Tsimpshian from Ketchikan (Metlakatla). Her grandfather, the late Cecil Barnes, Alutiiq from Cordova, was one of the original founders of the Alaska Native Claims Settlement Act (ANCSA).  One of Cecil’s great passions was that ANCSA corporations would help provide jobs and opportunities for our Alaska Native people for generations to come.

Chantil interned last summer with Security Alliance, a subsidiary of Sealaska, performing work such as analyzing databases, writing/organizing bids, applications, and proposals, coordinating events, and creating business presentations.  

After graduation, Chantil hopes to combine her creative talents of writing, performing, and producing, with the technological skills she will gain while working in the business world.
