June 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Jan's Towing began business in 1981 with a single truck running calls out of his home and using his mom to answer phones and dispatch calls to him.

Over the years, Jan began building his business based on hard work, quick response times, damage free towing, fair and reasonable rates. In the mid to late 1980's, Jan teamed up with Dennis Willett who owned Willett's Super Service in Glendora to form Jan's and Willett's. During that time, Jan's became the Official Police Tow for Glendora Police, earned a spot on the California Highway Patrol's towing rotation list, and successfully bid a Los Angeles County Sheriff's Department Tow Contract.

In the early 1990's, Dennis Willett sold his interest in the company to Tim Morales. The company changed it's name from Jan's and Willett's to Jan's and Tim's. Both Jan and Tim worked very hard to maintain the best drivers and equipment, and to provided the best service possible, gaining a reputation for being honest, hard working, and always on time.

In the mid 1990's, Tim sold his interest in the company to Jan, and Jan renamed the company Jan's Towing, Inc. He has earned humanitarian awards from various cities he has worked with and several commendations from state and federal officials, as well as local and county officials.

In early 2000, several cities began putting their towing business out to bid, and Jan put in his bid in each of these cities. In a very short time, Jan aquired contracts in Covina, Irwindale and Azusa. Jan expanded his business, adding a yard in Azusa. Over the next few years Jan's Towing was asked to take a position on the CHP's rotation list in the Altadena area, and successfully bid another contract with Arcadia. Not too long after that, Sierra Madre asked Jan's Towing to take over their police towing from another company who had had it for many years.

Jan's Towing is the unofficial back up towing company for Baldwin Park and Monrovia, responding to requests for service as needed. Jan's towing has received Business of the Year in Irwindale and Glendora in 2012. Jan's Towing, Inc. has been the Official Tow Service for Irwindale Speedway since 2007, and also provided track towing for Pomona Raceway upon request since 2003.

Jan's Towing provides light, medium and heavy duty tow trucks to support the Tournament of Roses parade each year at the request of the Automobile Club of Southern California, along with other towing companies from Southern California. Jan's Towing also support the Los Angeles County Fire Department by donating junk vehicles for the fire fighters to train on.

Jan's Towing, Inc also supports the United States Forestry Department by helping to keep the Angeles National Forest clear of abandoned vehicles, and recovering vehicles that have gone over the side of the road into the forest. In 2012, Jan's Towing was awarded two Evidence Towing contracts from the State of California in two separate areas, and the Los Angeles County Task Force for Auto Theft Prevention awarded Jan's Towing, Inc. a tow agreement for a large area of the northeastern portion of the county. Jan's has been towing for the Automobile Club of Southern California since the mid 1980's, maintaining high marks with the club. In 2006, AAA asked us to join their Battery Service Program.
