The second installment of the Westfield Summer Wine Series will get you on track to be the perfect summer hostess. With grilling season in full swing, participants will learn how to give the best barbeque on the block with cooking demos and decorating tips from industry professionals. For more information and to RSVP, visit www.westfield.com/ The North Shore Festival of Art returns July 27 The fifth annual North Shore Festival of Art presented by Amdur Productions will once again return to Westfield Old Orchard. July 27-29 from 10 a.m. – 5 p.m., North Shore and other Chicagoland residents can come and enjoy the weekend long festival celebrating more than 150 of the country’s finest artists. Their one of a kind works will be featured throughout Westfield’s inner court of the shopping center and will showcase works constructed from an array of mediums that include ceramics, fiber, glass, jewelry, sculpture, mixed media, paintings, drawings, photography, printmaking, wood and furniture. The open-air exhibition will span throughout the center. Additional fun and prizes will complement the art festival as live music will be featured with performances from celebrated bands and musicians. Children will enjoy a train, crafting projects and more. To top things off, daily drawings will take place giving festival-goers the chance to receive “Art Buck$” to spend on a piece of art at any future 2012 Amdur Productions festival. Admission and parking for the North Shore Festival of Art is complimentary. Monday Night Car Shows this summer at Westfield Monday Night Car Shows are now in full swing at Westfield Old Orchard! Every Monday night from 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., as many as 200 classic and vintage cars will be on display in the West parking lot of the shopping center. Come and enjoy a night full of great music, food, prizes, hourly raffles, and fun. Monday Night Car Shows run every Monday night through September 10. Monday Night Car Shows, Inc. is a non-for-profit organization comprised of local businessmen and citizens dedicated to the Classic Car Hobby and the Community at large. The mission is to advance the Classic Car Hobby through community awareness, camaraderie, contributions to programs that teach automotive skills to the next generation through scholarships. Westfield French Market, now running every Thursday through September The Westfield French Market is now open every Thursday from 2 p.m. – 7 p.m. through September. The outdoor market, located near Macy’s, offers a variety of artisan products including fresh produce, breads and cheeses and gifts for the home and family. This is the first time Westfield and Bensidoun USA have partnered together in an effort to create a completely new shopping experience for Chicagoland customers. By adding the artisan outdoor market and selling fresh and local goods, Westfield’s goal is to create a greater sense of community in the area which includes residents of Chicago and surrounding suburban areas, as well as Westfield retailers. In supporting the French market and participating vendors, Westfield hopes to provide a greater recognition and appreciate for local artisans. New Store openings and updates at Westfield Old Orchard Westfield Old Orchard continues to bring to its patrons a valued shopping experience through its selection of luxury and specialty retailers. To enhance that experience this summer and fall, a slew of new retailers will be opening, as well moving locations within the center. Rolex will be opening a boutique operated by the 3,500 square foot C.D. Peacock located next to Tiffany & Co near Nordstrom. The world renowned timepiece crafter and the Chicago-based jeweler will have its grand opening this fall. eCosway will be setting up a new location at Westfield Old Orchard this summer. The new retailer specializes in health, beauty and nutrition products and will be located near Champps Americana. Hugo Boss will be one of Westfield Old Orchards newest luxury retailers just in time for the holidays. The men’s and women’s designer, known for its sleek and stylish collections worldwide, will be opening in part of the old Akira space near Nordstrom. Specialty women’s clothing store, Ann Taylor is currently closed for renovations and will re-open in September. Coach will close at the end of June for remodeling. The designer handbag retailer will re-open before the end of July. J. Crew will close at the end of July for remodeling but won’t be gone long! The men’s and women’s shop known especially for its classic and sophisticated silhouettes will re-open at the beginning of August. Chicago-based women’s specialty store, Akira will open in its new location on the North end of the shopping center this July next to Cheesecake Factory and Ann Taylor Loft.
