Tecport Optics Signs Exclusive Licensing Agreement With Axon Optics

June 20, 2012 - PRLog -- Tecport Optics, in conjunction with Axon Optics, has developed an optical interference filter coating process for plastic spectacle lenses that blocks the specific wavelengths of light that have been implicated as the cause of photophobic symptoms; particularly those associated with triggering and exacerbating migraine headaches. The lenses reduce or eliminate light sensitivity for wearers, but without the undesirable color distortion experienced when wearing tinted lenses.

The University of Utah has registered the existing proprietary property, which specifically includes United States provisional patent application no. 61/433,344 and PCT patent application no. PCT/US12/21500, characterized as “Process to Reduce Light Sensitivity in Individuals including Migraine Headaches”.
