I have a huge collection of perfume samples that I gathered over the years. I will dive into my boxes of samples and pick them randomly to review. Please enjoy this journey with me!! From an expert in fragrances.

June 19, 2012 - PRLog -- I have been collecting and reviewing perfumes for many years now. Many fragrances were left behind because I don't publish bad reviews in my blog. this year I started a new project that I call Random Perfume Picks.  I will plunge into these boxes and take one fragrance at a time to review. Since I am not choosing. Bad reviews might come along.

L'HEURE DEFENDUE  VII - CARTIER - LES HEURES DE PARFUM - LIMITED EDITION - 2011 - UNISEX

Official olfactive notes: patchouli, oriental notes, cocoa beans
Non official olfactive notes: iris, tonka, vanilla, brandy (?) or cherry, patchouli, cocoa.

I do love gourmand notes/fragrances, but this one smells like a black forest cake. Now, why the hell would you want to smell cake all over you? I don't really get this perfume.

Brazilians may also relate to the smell of the historical Kopenhagen cherry brandy-chocolate treat:

Tricky my friends, really tricky. I do love iris combined with chocolate gourmandises - you all know I am crazy about Guerlain's Iris Ganache, but this one here is simply unnecessary in the wardrobe...
