Station 8 calls in Drexel Metals to help cover this firehouse!!!

The profile used for this project is a DMC 200S profile in Regal White. This unique design of the standing seam metal roof to a thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) roof membrane is particularly popular in Southern States where its reflective properties reduce energy costs for companies thus reducing a environmental impact to our ozone. This is Drexel Metals’ 2” mechanically seamed metal roof system. It enhances the architectural appearance and is engineered to exceed most wind load requirements in the country. The versatility of this profile’s engineering allows the designer the ability to specify from low to steep slope application. The firehouse was rebuilt in 2011 and has 5 on-duty firefighters who protect a 5.51 square mile area of St. Petersburg. The new Drexel Metals roof will cover the fire fighters as they continue to protect their community.

The firehouse roof was a key part of this LEED Silver project, which will help reduce the cooling bills. These green practices were implemented when building the firehouse.
