Deck of Cards Entertainment Options Unpublished Novel

June 19, 2012 - PRLog -- Deck of Cards Entertainment has optioned the rights to the unpublished graphic novel, Edge. The novel is the creation of graphic artist-writer Vincent Folds. Not only will the production company option the graphic novel but Folds has also signed with R. Keith Morrison of Deck of Cards for management.

“It means a lot to me that they saw the potential in my novel to want to make it into a movie.  They’re a young company that is growing and I’m a young writer that wants to grow. It seemed only right to want to build something together.” Folds said.

Edge is a fantasy action thriller that tells the story of a futuristic world where a super drug not only cured every disease known to man, but it also gave the user, new found energy and strength. However, even with their health restored, users became addicted and the side effects from the healthy and cured taking the super drug resulted into a bloodthirsty transmutation. But while the world is infected and in chaos, there is a dark vigilante who has the abilities to kill the contaminated.

Samuel C. Morrison will write and produce the adaption of the Folds novel. In regards to the project, Morrison said, “I don’t need to wait for the novel to be published, I love the story. As far as the movie goes, I look at it as a mash-up of Resident Evil, Underworld and Blade franchises and I’m very excited to sink my teeth into it.”
