Dedicated to developing quality, effective supplies and equipment for combat and tactical medicine, Tactical Medical Solutions recently donated crucial items to the nonprofit, including stretchers, tourniquets, bandages and flashlights.
“About a year ago, TroopsDirect contacted us and expressed that Marines in Afghanistan desperately needed stretchers because they weren’t able to get them through the supply chain,” said Ross Johnson, CEO at Tactical Medical Solutions Inc. “There are four combat vets in our office so we know firsthand the importance of getting these items so they can operate more efficiently and effectively. Over the past year, the Marines have gone through TroopsDirect and requested specific items from us and we’re more than happy to help where we can.”
Negherbon founded the nonprofit group in response to a former college roommate’s requests for support while a U.S. Marine officer deployed in the Helmand province of Afghanistan. Correspondences from his friend for additional help kept coming and Negherbon rallied business colleagues and the public to assist. Contacts with other units immediately ensued and TroopsDirect’

Between defense spending cuts and a slow supply chain, critically needed items often are not easily procured through the military system and TroopsDirect fixes that by filling the specific order requests of our Commanders on a daily basis; 24,000 tons to date.
