protected-networks to showcase 8MAN, a unique Information Trust Software, at IT Decisions 2012

June 19, 2012 - PRLog -- protected-networks, a Berlin based software company, will be exhibiting for the second year at IT Decisions 2012, to be held in London on the 26/27th June. The company will demonstrate 8MAN, a graphical interface that displays the access rights situation in Microsoft Active Directory group structures, NTFS permissions and SharePoint, down to the individual user level. Visitors to stand 325 will be able to see how questions such as "Who actually has access to this directory?" or "Which folders are available to X?" can be easily answered and reports automatically generated.

In a Microsoft Active Directory environment, access rights security is identified as the weakest link, leaving client sensitive data highly vulnerable to breaches and other security risks. 8MAN addresses this limitation; it is a fully integrated software solution that manages the Active Directory, file server and SharePoint access rights. It limits access rights to a “need to know” basis, thereby significantly mitigating data security risks.
