Follow on Google News | Uk Expat Brings Home The Aussie Makeover - Franchise Set To SoarWith the facial skin care market forecast to reach £1bn by the end of the year due to growth in spending on anti-ageing and anti-wrinkle products, an Australian franchise is looking to impact the cosmetic treatment market.
Interestingly, a recent survey showed a high percentage of people fear aging more than death. Men and women in various age group were interviewed and showed most people under 20 believed they are invincible to ageing (no surprises there), whereas most women in the 20 to 30 age group said they dreaded the approach of visible signs of ageing. More than 80% of women aged 30 to 40 years have considered some form of surgical or non-surgical enhancement. Deb says "this is the sort of feedback we have been seeing for years and strongly indicates that cosmetic procedures are no longer reserved for the rich and famous, especially when treatments have become so affordable and accessible". The launch site for the Aussie cosmetic franchise will be Bristol, and will keep its name 'Australian Skin Clinics'. "Our own research showed that people in the UK actually preferred the name, perhaps due to the close ties between the UK and Australia. We are evaluating a number of proposals for UK Master Franchise territories, but as yet we have not awarded the contract", said Farnworth-Wood. End
