New York, NY - Stephen Larsen, PhD, award-winning author, and Psychology Professor Emeritus at SUNY Ulster, New York, is the guest of talk show host Kenneth Lesser on Advanced Living Radio, Saturday, June 16, at 4:00 pm PT, 7:00 pm ET, live on the Internet at bbsradio.com channel one. He will put forth ideas from his new mental health book The Neurofeedback Solution: How to Treat Autism, ADHD, Anxiety, Brain Injury, Stroke, PTSD, and More (Inner Traditions, 2012, ISBN 978-1-59477-366-2, $19.95 paperback, 424 pages, 6 x 9, with 8 pages of color inserts).  The book is available in bookstores, on Amazon.com, at InnerTraditions.com, and on other Internet book seller web sites.

The Neurofeedback Solution is about highly effective, non-invasive techniques used to restore brain function following debilitating and pervasive physical or emotional trauma.  It surveys the work of neurofeedback pioneers, explains results and advantages of different neurofeedback methods, and shares successful and sometimes miraculous case studies of patients from a broad range of backgrounds – veterans, neglected children, and seniors.

When Dr. Larsen was on the faculty at Ulster, 1968-1996, he directed a program in consciousness studies and biofeedback that gave students a hands-on opportunity to train themselves plus research the health benefits of biofeedback.  In 1990 he opened Stone Mountain Counseling, PC, for psychotherapy, biofeedback and training where he continues to serve as its director.
