The human journey is full of ups and downs, and it is vital to learn how to bring loving compassion to our struggles, and thus to become more free. Lori's interest in the Navajo tradition's Beauty Way was sparked many years ago, and it is the universal quality of beauty that inspires her to find the gifts hidden in the more difficult parts of life. Carl Jung, the father of Transpersonal Psychology, wrote:
“There is no coming to consciousness without pain. People will do anything, no matter how absurd, in order to avoid facing their own Soul. One does not become enlightened by imagining figures of light, but by making the darkness conscious.”
LORI MYLES-CARULLO has a Master's Degree in Transpersonal Psychology, is a Reiki Master, a Registered Yoga Teacher, and a Certified Aromatherapy Health Therapist. Her greatest passion is supporting others in their healing journeys, helping them to find the gifts within life's obstacles, and to live with more personal freedom and joy. Writing BEAUTY'S WAY allowed her to share in depth about her own healing path through Chronic Fatigue Syndrome, family conflicts, relationship struggles, the grieving process, and more. She lives part of the year in Costa Rica with her Italian husband, Francesco, and their one year old son, Valentino. They are co-owners of a beautiful lodge and retreat center called Mystica.
