“The Access Connection creates meaningful job placements for Deaf individuals through ongoing relationships with employers, training, and empowerment in the workplace”
With their mission statement, The Access Connection believes that they can provide the services of a typical recruitment agency, job coach agency, and add in some unique twists. One of their most unique twists is still under covers. As the organization works on expanding knowledge about their services, they are still not sharing their biggest asset. They believe it’ll make them a desirable partner for both employers and employees alike.
There are several programs that are in the making. One of the programs is a job placement program. The Access Connection does not give you a list of jobs and expect you to look yourself. Their strategy is much more involved. While they help you seek out jobs, they also build up their network. They are in the process of creating a network of companies that are interested in hiring Deaf individuals. Why should you work for a company that does not want you there. You are to be perceived as an asset not a liability.
The Access Connection’s mission statement sums up the job placement program. It was worded in such a manner that they believed would help people understand their main objective.
The Access Connection, best known as TAC, is a non-profit organization that strives to destroy barriers that Deaf individuals face when applying for jobs. They seek to create lasting relationships with the employer to continue to support the employee throughout their employment. The Access Connection believes that their approach is much more employee centric than recruitment or job coach companies. Four professionals founded The Access Connection in Rochester, NY on March 6, 2012.
