On Friday, June 15, 2012, the Cypress Centre will be host to a live MMA event featuring both amateur and pro fighters from across North America.
Patrick Ward and Jeremy Kennedy will enter the Hard Knocks cage, and one will leave with the Hard Knocks Amateur 135lbs Title Belt. Kennedy is fighting out of WestCoast MMA in Vancouver, BC with a 7-1 record. Ward is fighting out of Elite Training Centre in Calgary, AB with a 4-1 record.
For female fighters Charmaine Tweet and Adrienne Seiber, MMA is all in the family. Seiber, a police officer out of Chicago, IL has two daughters who train in MMA and her husband Dave is also a MMA fighter. Tweet, out of Regina, SK who is married to MMA manager/promoter, has two sons who train in MMA, one of who competed in the first Youth MMA exhibition in Saskatchewan.
Tweet and Seiber have a lot on the line for this fight, as they both are coming into the fight with a 1-2 pro MMA record. They will be the pro co-main event of the night.
The main event will be Dia Grant out of Dynamic MMA in Calgary, AB vs Roy Bradshaw out of Sik Jitsu in Inchelium, WA. Grant has a pro record of 5-6 and Bradshaw has a pro record of 8-9. The fight will be fought at 155lbs.
