June 14, 2012 - PRLog -- Prior to getting into Real Estate, I was employed with Motorola for 25 years, with the last 18 years in the Cellular Division. My career with Motorola consisted of 3 years in the Home Electronics division, 7 years in 2 way communications as an Sales Engineer, Consultant, Micro Wave Communications Consultant with customers such as Natural Gas Pipeline of America, Northern Natural Gas, Shell Oil, Amoco, Standard Oil, etc. In 1983 I became a Consultant Engineer to the telephone industry traveling around the country talking up a "New" thing called "Cellular Communications". In 1984, I became a Sales Administrator to the Midwest Area Sales force, which consisted of over 200 sales personnel. In 1992, I was Promoted to Systems Program Manager for the GTE Sales Group and in 1997 I opened an office in Tampa, FL. and worked closely with GTE and Motorola to provide Cellular switching and service for cellular systems to small to afford their own switching network. Motorola and GTE broke up their joint venture in 1998 and I took retirement at that time. During the early part of my retirement, my wife of 57 years, Brigitte, also known as Bea or Bree,and I went on cruises, traveled to England, Scotland and Wales, Cancun, made a few trips to Las Vegas and around here.
After about 7 years, I decided that I would like to get into Real Estate and took the Bob Houge Real Estate course and received my license in February, 2006.
I enjoy working with young first time homebuyers. It gives me great pleasure to see someone young starting out on the right foot in homeownership.
While working with a young couple from our church, it was a pleasure to help them find exactly what they were looking for in their quest for their first home. They wanted a home with 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, extra large back yard for their dogs to romp in, all in a quiet neighborhood. Within the first 2 hours of viewings, we found just the right place.
