The new generation of workforce expects high-technology in their life and workplace. Unlike just one generation past, the mindset of young workers today has changed. The attitudes about technology, including robots is far from science fiction, and many workers under forty actually prefer companies that utilize robots and computers. Robotic education has grown quickly through STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics)
FIRST celebrates the achievement in STEM education through robotics tournaments. Seegrid has seen robotic education grow already through STEM and recently had the opportunity to support STEM education by awarding a Pittsburgh high school student a robotics education scholarship at a FIRST competition. Seegrid is committed to investing in young people and as the leader in robotics continues to innovate and provide products that create jobs.
Several Seegrid employees are mentors as well as coaches for FIRST. "Seegrid is committed to investing in our young people and will continue to innovate and provide products that create jobs," Heilman suggested.
