ABATE of Wisconsin Asks Motorcyclists to Show a United Front

The man accused of causing the May 31st accident in Fond du Lac county causing 2 deaths and leaving another 8 hospitalized will be in court for his first hearing on June 15th. ABATE of Wisconsin is encouraging all motorcyclists to attend.
 
June 14, 2012 - PRLog -- The man accused with causing the May 31st accident in Fond du Lac county causing 2 deaths and leaving another 8 hospitalized at this point will be in court for his first hearing on June 15th. Mr Lovelace allegedly crossed the centerline into the path of 12 motorcycles about 3pm May 31 on Highway 151 between Gladstone Beach Road and Welling Beach Road in the town of Taycheedah, according to the Fond du Lac County Sheriff's Office report. At this time Clinton H Lovelace, 25, is being charged with 2nd degree Reckless Homicide, (3) counts of 2nd degree Reckless Injury, 2nd degree Recklessly Endangering Safety and Felony Bail Jumping. "The charges may be amended once blood results return from the Wisconsin State Crime Lab", said Assistant District Attorney Andrew Christenson. Two unused syringes were located in Lovelace's clothes following the crash as well.

The hearing will take place at the Fond du Lac county building located at 160 S. Macy Street, Fond du Lac, Wi in the intake court on the second floor. The proceedings are currently scheduled for June 15th at 2:00 PM. ABATE of Wisconsin is asking all available motorcyclists to be present and respectful to show a united front. We need to send a strong message that this type of behavior is unacceptable and people who drive recklessly will be held accountable for their actions.
