June 14, 2012 - PRLog -- The big question on the lips of many an England supporter including Direct Marketing Agency, Approach Direct, is if captain Stevie ‘Wonder’ Gerrard can lead England to victory. Under a new boss, Gerrard definitely has the chance to show leadership, and hopefully bring the country to undefeated success. With sixteen teams taking part and competing in the tournament this year, including defending champions Spain, and joint hosts Poland and Ukraine it will be no easy feet.

Approach Direct Managing Director, Cathal O’Malley, states; ‘I think Gerrard is amazing and can do a great job. Certainly, he’s not always played as well for his country as for his club, but I think you have to play to his strengths and build the whole team around him. He can drive the England team like no other player. I am a great admirer of his leadership and this is important for the team. Gerrard is passionate and leads from the front; we’ve seen times when he’s lifted Liverpool to great wins almost single-handedly.’

England is grouped with France, Sweden and Ukraine. The team got off to a fair start after partaking in the first of two difficult matches. After England’s draw with France, it’s now set to play Sweden on Friday 15th, but again without the help of Wayne Rooney. As a prediction, The Three Lions probably need at least two points from the first two matches in order to win and secure advancement over Ukraine. This is likely to be achievable, however, how far they continue beyond that point really depends upon whether they finish in first or second place. First-place will put them in a Quarter Final matchup with Italy or Croatia, whilst second-place will secure them a date with Spain.

Angie McCoy, Administrator of Approach Direct, states; ‘I'll go with Spain for this tournament as well, as they keep a much superior midfield compared to their opponents. Spain will be very hard to beat, although Holland showed in the World Cup they can definitely compete with them. Germany were also very impressive in qualifying so it looks as if it will be very interesting and exciting!’
