Badmus Law Firm’s scholarship was funded by proceeds from its 2012 Immigrant Journey Awards luncheon held earlier this year. The awards program honored notable DFW immigrants, Fernando Andrade, Joyce Brown, Sante Chary, and others. "Education is held in high standard at our firm. It is important to encourage our youth to achieve their educational goals, regardless of their financial status. Manuel is just one example of the many immigrant and first-generation American students that have distinguished themselves through their passionate commitment to education," said Ann Massey Badmus, the firm's founder.
The firm will award three American Dream Scholarships at the 2013 Immigrant Journey Awards luncheon. Immigrant and first-generation American high school students across DFW are encouraged to apply by contacting email@example.com.
