Redstone Creates Bob Gibson Heritage Project; Fundraising Campaign to Honor Local Legend

June 13, 2012 - PRLog -- (OMAHA, Neb.) Redstone has partnered with the Sarpy County Sports Commission to create and promote a fundraising campaign to honor hometown baseball hero Bob Gibson as well as to encourage the larger community to help commemorate Omaha’s role in baseball history.
   Redstone has developed a comprehensive marketing campaign establishing the organization’s name and logo as well as creating multiple online, social media, mobile and event marketing components that honor Bob Gibson’s accomplishments and encourages fans, leaders and businesses to donate to the Project.  Additional promotional collateral pieces were produced including: banners, coasters, flyers, videos, a scoreboard commercial and press kits.  
   “In creating an identity for the project we were able to explore some of the nostalgic aspects of baseball and really bring them into the present day using contemporary tools and media.  Gibson’s story and the artistry of the statue provided a real depth of inspiration in approaching the design,” said Jim Svoboda, Redstone Partner and Response Marketing Director.  “Gibson is such a legend in the game.  It was a real honor to be able to put our talents behind such a worthy cause and do some really terrific work.”
   One of the stand-out elements of the campaign is the multi-media, single-page website.  The website, bobgibsonproject.org, features an interactive timeline of Gibson’s career, background on the statue, videos and a “donate now” button to allow for immediate donation.  
   “We wanted the website to not only be a reminder to Gibson’s existing fans, but a tool for creating new fans.  In the history of the game, Bob Gibson is unique.  We’ve told that story in a way that makes it educational but also fun to explore.  And the more people explore, we think the more they’ll want to be part of the Project,” said Svoboda.  
   As part of Redstone’s contribution, much of the marketing services were donated.  The Redstone team includes Svoboda, Phil Webb, Partner and Chairman, Aubrie Hill, Video and Online Specialist, Jeff Kavan, Senior Art Director, Shawna Eves, Traffic Manager and Randa Zalman, eMarketing Director and Senior Account Supervisor.
