Central Veterinary Associates Provides Low-Cost Microchip Clinic at Friends of Fort Totten Parks

What:        Veterinarians from Central Veterinary Associates and the Bayside Animal Clinic will be offering a low-cost microchip clinic for pets during Friends of Fort Totten Parks’ eighth annual “Family Fun Day.” Owners can have their pets professionally implanted with a tracking microchip from Home Again, for a small donation. All of the money raised will go towards Friends of Fort Totten Parks and NYC Veterinary Emergency Response Team.  

                      The veterinarians emphasize that all pet owners should have their pets microchipped. This ensures their pet’s health and safety so that they can be found if they run away or if they are taken by a stranger. Having a pet microchipped is a successful step in responsible pet ownership.

Directions:     Long Island Expressway to Exit 31 N-S. Take Exit 31 N-S for Cross Island Parkway North toward Whitestone Bridge. Take Cross Island Pkwy. North then get onto Exit 32 toward Bell Boulevard. Turn right onto Totten Avenue. Turn right after 0.2 mile to stay right on Totten Ave. Take the third right onto Weaver Road. Park will be on the left.
