DDM’s number one ranking was revealed at an awards luncheon ceremony honoring recipients of the South Jersey 25 Award, which is given each year to the top twenty-five fastest growing private companies in the South Jersey area.
Robert Lipinski, Founder and President of DDM, was in attendance at the ceremony where the company’s number one ranking was revealed.
“This honor is especially meaningful to me, because it represents countless lives that have been and will be saved by McCurdy’s Armor™,” Lipinski explains. “Our purpose at DDM is to protect our service men and women. The growth we’ve experienced in fulfilling this purpose is a testament to the successful performance of McCurdy’s Armor™, and more importantly, the successful protection of those in harm’s way.”
Growing a business is no new feat for Lipinski, who founded Lipinski Outdoor Services in the late 1970’s. Lipinski grew the landscaping business from a small local operation to a national powerhouse with a presence in over 25 states and revenues of nearly $50 million. He sold the company in 2011 to focus his full-time attention on operating and growing DDM on an international level.
In April of this year, DDM was awarded a sustainment contract worth $8.5 million for continued delivery of McCurdy’s Armor™ to the U.S. Army for use at entry control points in Afghanistan. This is one of many large military contracts DDM has been awarded, including an Army contract worth $150 million if all options are utilized.
“It is our intention to continue DDM’s rapid growth in order to safeguard more soldiers from combat dangers such as snipers, mortar rockets, and small arms fire,” Lipinski says.
